Whitehill & Bordon Carnival is being positioned as the first local carnival in 30+ years: A civic-pride moment that reconnects the community, celebrates local identity, and creates a modern participation platform for families, schools, clubs, businesses, charities and community groups.
A Full Carnival Parade
A colourful community parade featuring local floats, walking entries, schools, clubs, charities, businesses and families, travelling through Whitehill & Bordon and bringing the carnival spirit back to the town after more than 30 years.
Carnival Queen, Princess and Prince
A community nomination and voting campaign designed to encourage local participation, celebrate young people, and build excitement across the website, Facebook and Instagram in the lead-up to carnival day.
Community Awards and Local Celebration
Selected committee members will judge entries on the day, with awards given for standout floats, walking groups and community spirit — celebrating the people, history and future of Whitehill & Bordon.
“Before Vela, approvals felt vague. Now there’s a clear moment when everything is agreed on, and I can move forward with confidence.”

Gary Newel
Whitehill & Bordon Carnival Committee
“We want local families, schools, groups, businesses and residents to feel part of it from the very beginning — whether that’s by entering a float, joining as a walking group, nominating for Carnival Queen, Princess or Prince, or simply coming along to support the day. The carnival is about pride, participation and creating a new tradition for the next generation.”
A Town With History
Whitehill & Bordon has a story worth celebrating.
For generations, the town has been shaped by its military heritage, community spirit and deep local roots. The former garrison played a major role in the area’s identity, bringing people, families and service communities together over many decades.
Today, Whitehill & Bordon is entering a new chapter.
With new homes, green spaces, local investment, town centre improvements and a growing sense of momentum, the carnival is a chance to celebrate everything this town has been — and everything it is becoming.
This is more than a parade.
It is a moment for the community to reconnect, take pride in the town, and create something memorable for families, young people and future generations.

“Bringing the Whitehill & Bordon Carnival back after more than 30 years is incredibly exciting for the whole town. This is a chance to celebrate our community, our history and the people who make Whitehill & Bordon such a special place.”

We are looking for local people who can support with planning, promotion, stewarding, event set-up, fundraising, sponsorship, community engagement and practical help on the day.
Whether you can give a few hours, share a skill, help marshal the route, support behind the scenes, or simply spread the word, your contribution can make a real difference.
